The global internet population grew 18.5 per cent between 2013 and 2015 and now represents 3.2 billion people. That’s roughly half of the entire population of planet earth – and a lot of noughts and ones.
Mobile is of course the catalyst that is accelerating this growth with many countries already tagged as ‘mobile first’. Domestically (in the UK) Ofcom’s recent Communications Market Report highlighted the fact that mobile has now overtaken any other form of access to the internet.
We live in mobile times.
