Its perhaps symptomatic of big brands that have many products and services – multiple mobile apps, created and specified by different areas of the business, organisational silos creating a varied and inconsistent brand and user experience.
Its fundamental that all apps form part of a centralised mobile strategy that faithfully represents the aims of the business. This infographic from Plastic Mobile explores some of the issues – there are on average 80 apps each amongst the top ten brands for example.
